Ethan's Journey raises $120,000 for Ethan's successful surgery

In 2016, Rock Solid Wrestling joined up with a local family to help support Ethan's Journey to walk.

At the time, Cody Deaner took to social media to help bring awareness to the cause. He wrote the following on his Facebook Page: "Ethan was born at the 25 week point of his mother's pregnancy and he only weighed 500g. He suffered bilateral grade 3 brain bleeds which in turn caused brain dam age. At 18 months he was diagnosed with Spastic Diplegia Cerebral Palsy.... which means that the muscles in his lower extremities are very tight, in turn making it very difficult to walk. ... Any interaction I've had with him always involves a giant smile and him rippin' around on his walker! Right after this picture was taken he was standing in the ring, holding the ropes and jumping up and down with joy. It is IMPOSSIBLE not to smile when you're in Ethan's presence."

After so much support from Ethan's parents and community, they reached their goal of $120,000 for a special surgery so Ethan can walk on his own!

Ethan has had the successful surgery, and he and his parents are determined to have him walk to the ring on an upcoming Rock Solid Wrestling show in mid-2017!

"I sincerely can't wait for that moment," Cody Deaner said.
