Cody Deaner to face former Impact Wrestling Champion Eli Drake for Impact "One Night Only" Taping2/28/2018
On Saturday, March 3rd, at St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario, Border City Wrestling and Impact Wrestling are teaming up for a "One Night Only" PPV taping.
Former champions will collide as former Impact Wrestling champion Eli Drake will face former Border City Wrestling champion Cody Deaner. "Every event at St. Clair College is jam-packed and rowdy," Cody Deaner said. "I expect an arena full of rabid fans chanting DDT and being on my side." This marks the first time Cody Deaner will have been on an Impact Wrestling associated event since wrestling for TNA Wrestling back in 2009-2010. "I'm excited to show the new management at Impact Wrestling that I can truly giv'er in the ring," Cody said. "I've been travelling all over the place since leaving TNA back in 2010 and have built an extremely loyal fanbase since then. That fanbase will be out in full force at March Breakdown in Windsor. It's time to giv'er!" At the beginning of February, Cody Deaner announced a new campaign idea he wanted to launch in 2018 ... the "Giv'er for Charity" campaign. You can read what inspired him to start the campaign HERE. February was the first month of the campaign, and the charity of choice for February was the Special Olympics. Due to the generosity of Cody's loyal fans, he was able to raise $300 for the local Special Olympics team in St. Thomas. "I can't wait to hand deliver the money to the team in the next week or so," Cody said. "I've contacted them and they want to have some athletes present to receive the cheque. They're quite excited. So am I." Stay tuned to CodyDeaner.com for pictures and coverage of Cody delivering the money raised to the Special Olympics team. Cody Deaner announced his charity of choice for the March "Giv'er for Charity" campaign on his Facebook page:
"In honour of one of my most loyal fans, the 88-years-young Isabelle, I have picked a local cause for the “Giv’er for Charity” campaign in the month of March. I recently visited Isabelle for her birthday at her nursing home - Exeter Villa - Retirement Living and Long Term Care. Isabelle is a hilarious & lively woman. You can read all about our visit together HERE: https://www.facebook.com/cody.deaner/posts/1787939204574299 After that visit, I received countless messages from her family and staff members at Exeter Villa telling me how meaningful my visit with Isabelle was. It was also brought to my attention that someone in the community started a campaign called “Pedalling Away Age.” They wanted to raise money to buy a special wheelchair bicycle that the folks at the nursing home could enjoy this spring. Thanks to the generosity of one anonymous donor, they were able to quickly raise the money for the special bike. However, they are still in need of various safety gear (helmets and pads) for all the people in the nursing home. Each person needs their own gear and they have a goal to raise $1000 for this spring. Together, I think we can GIV’ER and help them raise that amount and I can be ripping around the streets with Isabelle this Spring! They have a fundraising page at https://www.youcaring.com/exetervilla-949127 if you want to donate to them directly. Or, as part of my “Giv’er for Charity” campaign, you can purchase an autographed print of the Redneck Renegade caricature for $10 & I’ll be hand delivering all the money raised to Isabelle at the Exeter Villa at the end of March. Thanks guys! Let’s GIV’ER for Charity! Giv’er for Charity details: http://www.codydeaner.com/…/cody-deaner-launches-the-giver-… |
