In episode 8 of "Wrestling Fans Say The Darndest Things," Cody Deaner talks to the brother and sister tag team of Grayson & Aislinn about their favorite wrestler, beating their dad, & a mysterious creature that can cut you in half. Then Aislinn makes a shocking discovery!
On Saturday December 12th, 2015, Cody Deaner was the guest speaker at the Healthy Kids Community Challenge launch event in Komoka, ON. The theme of the events was "Give the Gift of Physical Literacy." There were numerous stations families could visit including an obstacle course, craft station, make your own skipping rope, rock climbing wall, and Story Time with Cody Deaner. Cody Deaner did two readings of the children's classic "We're Going on a Bear Hunt" and led the children in actions while they read the story. The event was a resounding success and every child who registered got to go home with their own free copy of "We're Going on a Bear Hunt." After each reading, Cody Deaner took pictures with the kids and signed their copy of the book. Cody had the following to say about the event on his Instagram: "There was one memorable little girl named Grace. Her mother approached me with Grace in hand. Grace's mother said she was VERY surprised Grace wanted to meet me and get an autograph because Grace is a very timid and shy girl who is normally scared of strangers. But she was comfortable with me. This was VERY humbling. Thanks Grace! And thanks to the Middlesex County Library and the whole Healthy Kids Community Challenge clan!" I had the privilege of learning from Arn Anderson when I did matches for the WWE. I had the privilege of learning from Dutch Mantell when I was working with TNA. I've soaked up a lot of knowledge in the past 15 years in terms of ring psychology, promos, and what the major companies are looking for in new talent. I plan on passing that information and knowledge onto some young talent on January 16th i n North Tonawanda." On Saturday December 12, 2015, Middlesex County Library, in partnership with the Komoka YMCA and Middlesex Centre, will be hosting an event to launch The Healthy Kids Community Challenge for Middlesex County. The event will run from 1 to 3 p.m. at Middlesex Centre Wellness & Recreation Complex, 1 Tunks Lane, Komoka. The theme is “Give the Gift of Physical Literacy”. As part of the event, Cody Deaner will be reading the popular children's story "Going on a Bear Hunt" and encouraging physical activity and movements with the children. Cody Deaner is now the Border City Wrestling Champion, Rock Solid Pro Wrestling Champion, Magnificent Championship Wrestling Champion, and the Crossfire Wrestling Champion. Closing out 2015 with 4 championships shows that 2015 really was the year of the Deaner! Onward and upward in 2016! On Dec 5th, 2015, in St. Catharine's, Ontario, Cody Deaner defeated Eric Young and Kongo Kong to become the new Crossfire Wrestling Champion.
Jeremy Elliot was forced to relinquish his title due to illness and the fans demanded a 3-way main event between three worthy contenders. In the end, Cody Deaner finally kicked manager Jay Moore to the curb. It proved to be the right decision, as he was able to take advantage of the situation and DDT Kongo Kong onto a steel chair Jay Moore brought into the ring and pin the giant monster for the 1, 2, 3. On March 20th, we will see what Cody Deaner has in store for Crossfire Wrestling's event - "March Meltdown."
