Cody Deaner Successful in his GFW debut

On Friday January 22nd, 2016 in Poughkeepsie, NY, in front of a packed house, Cody Deaner made his in-ring debut for Global Force Wrestling in the historic Mid Hudson Civic Centre. On January 1st, Cody Deaner released a video telling GFW he wanted a shot to show the world that he can really go in the ring.

GFW responded by having Cody Deaner make his debut in the first GFW show of 2016. Cody Deaner wrestled Henry Maxwell and the world-traveled Cliff Compton. Cody came to the ring representing the four promotions he is the champion in - Border City Wrestling, Crossfire Wrestling, Rock Solid Wrestling, and Magnificent Championship Wrestling.           

Henry Maxwell and Cliff Compton quickly decided to team up on the Redneck Renegade and tried to work together to beat down Cody Deaner. Highlights saw Cody Deaner fight off both men and hit a top rop crossbody onto both men for a nearfall. A number of times, Cody Deaner tried to hit his finishing move, the DDT, but to no avail.     

Eventually, Cody was able to hit Cliff Compton with a suicide dive through the ropes and return to the ring and hit Henry Maxwell with the DDT for the 1, 2, 3 and a victory in his Global Force Wrestling debut.                 

"I couldn't be more proud to represent BCW, MCW, Crossfire, and Rock Solid Wrestling in my debut for Global Force Wrestling," Cody said. "I wasn't 100% sure how the GFW fans were going to respond to me, but I was completely satisfied when I came through the curtain and heard the Northeastern crowd cheer, support and be fully behind me before I even got into the ring. I got my shot with GFW and I responded with a victory in my debut. I feel like this is just the beginning of things to come with me and GFW. Onward and upward in 2016 with Global Force Wrestling!"
