Cody Deaner recently returned to his old elementary school in the small village of Sparta, Ontario to give a special message to the kids from the small rural village.
Cody had the following to say about the visit on his Instagram page: "Small towns sometimes have small expectations...I grew up in Port Bruce, a small village with a population of maybe 200 people. I went to Sparta Public School in a nearby small rural village - Sparta, Ontario. The expectations on me and my friends was small. Last week, I had the privilege of revisiting my old elementary school and speaking to the kids about my passions, my crazy life, the places I’ve been, the things I’ve seen, and my work through the “Giv’er for Charity” campaign. I told them... You don’t have to be in the ‘BIG TIME’ to make a BIG DIFFERENCE. The kids were absolutely awesome. The energy in that old, hot, sweaty, non-air-conditioned gymnasium was electric. I loved every minute of it. I was swarmed after my talk and spent time taking selfies, signing autographs, and chatting with the kids before they had to jump on their school bus to return to their small houses in their small communities. Small towns sometimes have small expectations. But that doesn’t mean that we can’t dare to dream BIG. You can be whatever you want to be ... if you put in the work. Dare to #dreamBIG... and no matter what your passion is... follow these kids’ advice and... JUST GIV’ER! Sincerely, Cody Deaner" To book Cody to come speak at your school or special event, click the link below. Comments are closed.
