Cody Deaner just finished a whirlwind 22 day tour of Northern Ontario and Quebec. Cody traveled with CWF Canada to a variety of First Nation communities, including Wemindji, Nemaska, East Main, Waskaganish, Waswanipi, Thessalon, Whitefish River, Serpent River, Timiskaming, Ginoogaming, Moose Deer Point, among others. Deaner posted the following on his Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages: "The whirlwind #DeanerNorthernTour is over ... 22 days 32 matches 12 guest speaking workshops 1 sore & tired dude Countless memories #ilovewrestling" "Getting to visit remote communities where I've never been was an amazing experience," Cody said. "The fans were so grateful to have us there. And, the hospitality we received from so many of the First Nations communities was overwhelming at times." In each community, before that evening's wrestling show, Cody Deaner would go to a local school to deliver anti-bullying workshops and speeches to the youth of the community. "I got just as much, or more, out of delivering speeches to the youth than I did getting to perform in front of them in the ring," Cody said. "I felt energized bringing a positive message to the kids. I got to share my struggles with them and encourage them to follow their dreams despite negative pressures, people and circumstances." Cody Deaner has been wrestling for over 17 years and plans on going on another Northern Tour when the opportunity arises. "I would definitely do this again," Cody said.
