On Sunday, July 24th, Cody Deaner was featured in a 3 page article in Canada's largest newspaper, The Toronto Star. The article delves deep into the personal life of Cody Deaner. Cody opens up about topics and lets Katie Daubs into his personal home - something he has never done for the media to date.
Cody had the following to say about the article on his Facebook page ... "I'm normally quite a private person. I have never posted pictures of my family on social media. I have kept my private and professional life separate for many years. However, when the largest newspaper in Canada comes calling and wants to do a 3 page featured story on your life and career ... it's kind of hard to say no. So I let Toronto Star reporter, Katie Daubs, in. I let her into my home. I let her take pictures of my family. I shared personal stories about my children, meeting my wife, and my other career as an adult education teacher. I didn't do it for myself. Of course, I appreciate the publicity. I'm a business man. But it's not just for me. It's for every independent wrestler who truly busts their butt and makes the sacrifice to do what they love to do. That's what this story is all about. I can even take that a step further ... it's for ANYONE who busts their butt and makes sacrifices to do what they love to do ... whatever that may be. Too many people "settle." I've decided I'd rather be HAPPY than settle for security. And I couldn't be happier where I'm at in both of my careers. And I'm beyond happy with my amazing and beautiful family. Blessed is an overused word. But it applies to my life, tenfold. I hope that shines through in this story. Keep givin'er everyone. I know I will. Sincerely, Cody Deaner" To read the full story from The Toronto Star, click HERE. Comments are closed.
