Earlier this month, Cody Deaner hand-delivered the $640 raised in March for the Pedaling Away Age fund through his "Giv'er for Charity" campaign. He delivered the money to Isabelle's son, Wayne, and they took this picture in front of Isabelle's old room at the Exeter Villa Retirement Home.
Cody wrote the following concerning the visit on his Facebook page: "I had the honour and privilege last week to hand-deliver the $640 raised by the “Giv’er for Charity” campaign for the “Pedalling Away Age” fund at the Exeter Villa Retirement Home in honour of the late Isabelle Becker. I met Isabelle’s son Wayne & his wife Carol Rose at the home & we took this picture outside Isabelle’s old bedroom window. I just returned home from speaking at the Spring Ontario Student Leadership Conference in Kingston. While there, I was able to share my story of Isabelle with some youth and tell them of the amazing woman that Isabelle was. Isabelle’s spirit lives on in her family & friends and it is so wonderful that her friends at the home will now be able to enjoy their wheelchair bicycle that was purchased by the wonderful community in Exeter, Ontario through the Pedalling Away Age fund.
