Cody Deaner brings his message of "Dare to Dream Big" to multiple libraries for their summer programming
Throughout the summer in the month of July, Cody Deaner brought his message of "daring to dream BIG" to multiple libraries and camp programs.
Cody Deaner visited the Ingersoll Public Library, Shedden Public Library, Port Stanley Library, Strathroy Public Library, and the Kids Summer Camp at the Byron Community Church.
During the visits, Cody would share his story of growing up in a small rural town, with the big dream of one day being a professional wrestler. He would show kids his Canadian Championship Wrestling belt and let them take pictures with it. All the while, he encouraged the kids to dream big themselves.
Many of the library visits included a time entitled "Read With a Wrestler" where Cody would read an engaging story with a lot of actions and encourage the kids to stay physically fit and encourage literacy skills.

Throughout June and July, Cody Deaner and the "Giv'er for Charity" campaign raised money for the Every Kid Counts Program at the Lansdowne Children's Centre, in honour of one of Cody's special fans who go to the Lansdowne Children's Centre - Regan Anderson.
At a recent Crossfire Wrestling event, Cody had Regan at the event as his special guest. He wrote the following on his Facebook page about the evening:
"Yesterday DID end up being special...
I had the honour of having my friend Regan as my special guest at a Crossfire Wrestling event. She is the inspiration for my fundraising for the Lansdowne Children's Centre this month for the “Giv’er for Charity” campaign.
I told the crowd in attendance my story of meeting Regan and what an awesome fan she is. I was then able to bring her into the ring and present her with a cheque for the money we had raised thus far, which was $300.
I was then able to give her a special surprise... which you can see in the video. 😁
I’m happy to say that after the generosity of the wrestling fans in attendance, Regan and I were able to raise another $700 yesterday to bring our current total to $1000 for the #EveryKidCounts programs at Lansdowne Children’s Centre!
Thank you so much to the Crossfire fans and the entire pro wrestling community in Ontario for their support.
I had MANY parents and grandparents approach me last night with tears in their eyes thanking me for doing this fundraiser. They told me heartfelt stories of their autistic children and grandchildren and some of the struggles they experience. I even got to meet a new fan, Aries, who happens to be autistic, but was extremely enthusiastic about the work Regan and I have done through the “Giv’er for Charity” campaign.
Regan... You’re truly making a difference, sweetheart. Keep smiling! Keep loving wrestling (just like your buddy Cody). And keep being you!
Thanks again everyone. You all helped make last night a very special night for a lot of people.
